  The food is very good, especially for the U.P., where the food is rated more on portion size than flavor and presentation. The Mongolian Beef is especially good. My only complaint is the dearth of beef in the dish. It's mostly green and white onions, with a very small amount of thinly sliced beef in a fantastic brown hoisin sauce. You cannot order fried rice on weekends, which is unusual and frankly, highly annoying. The Crab Rangoon is very good. I usually ask for the red sweet and sour sauce instead of the duck sauce that normally accompanies the appetizer. The atmosphere is going to change due to a fire, or so I'm told. It's been closed for some months now at the time of this review, but is due open again soon. For the lack of meat in the dishes, the horribly tasteless and tacky atmosphere, the lumpy benches and high prices, the mostly absent service, and highly evident lack of hygiene and safety in the kitchen (where the fire occurred. I once caught site of the kitchen when the back door was open a few summers ago, and pointed out to my fiancé the fire hazard I saw. It's no surprise to me it caught fire. It was so bad I almost didn't go in, and have had a queasy feeling about eating there ever since.) I'm giving them a fair rating of three stars. You'd think I would rate this place much lower than three stars with all the complaints I have, but the food is the best Asian in town. Not even remotely the best I've ever had, but the rest of the Asian restaurants in the area just can't compete where flavor is concerned. Unfortunately, there are no true five star restaurants for Asian food in the area, or any cuisine for that matter. I hope they reopen with a change of decor, updated seating, and not shortchange their customers on the meat issue anymore.
