  Best Pasties in Marquette, hands down (not even going to attempt to say anything about the rest of the UP). The Marquette Lawry's is a pale imitation of the ORIGINAL west of Ishpeming on 41. Go to Jean Kays in Mqt. I guarantee you'll walk away full and satisfied for under $5....Veggie version is actually pretty darn good as well.
  Pro tips: 1.) get the rutabaga (pronounced "ruta-baggies," eh) and 2.) make sure you get/have ketchup....Expert tip: use the red ketchup bottle that comes to a point (you know the one) in the store as an injector, then eat it one handed (original purpose... well, originally the crust wasn't actually eaten by the miners, too much soot, and it was used more as wrapper).

  I must say this is the best pasties by far. I have orders to fill when I go up to visit. I love taking home some for our freezer. Thank you for the great memories.
